Class Descriptions

Gentle Vinyasa Flow Yoga (All Fitness Levels)

Low intensity practice synchronizing movement with breath for the perfect mind and body connection. The postures are given in an easy to follow and accessible manner that offers modifications suitable for all ability levels. Focus is on gently increasing flexibility while still providing a full body practice. The body is slowly warmed up to emphasize alignment, strength, balance and flexibility. The gentle and steady class pace encourages movement without strain, meditation, all in a fun and welcoming journey.

Slow Flow Yoga (All Fitness levels)

Slow Flow Yoga: Enjoy the experience of moving with your breath and tapping into your mind body connection. Let the intentional musical playlist guide you energetically. Leave class feeling complete in every way.

Strength & Stretch  (Intermediate\Advanced Level)  

The first part of this class focuses on strengthening the large and small muscles of the body. The final part of class includes stretching and (sometimes) rolling out the connective tissue and muscles of the body in order to open and maximize the range of motion. This helps creates a feeling of freedom throughout the body. Props needed are a set of lightweights, a small plastic ball, a small yoga block and a gym towel. Intermediate/Advanced class.

Zumba (All Fitness levels)

A fusion of international music, beats and rhythms with fun, energetic dance routines. Zumba combines aerobic and body sculpting movements, with easy-to-follow, calorie-burning dance steps, creating a dynamic and effective workout. Higher Impact. 

​

Fit for Life (All Fitness levels)

Have fun while completing this full body workout. This class includes a warm up, aerobic dance movements, body sculpting exercises (using dumbbells, elastic tubing, mats, etc.), and a muscle stretching cool down routine.

 

Cardio Sculpt Interval (All Fitness levels)

Moving to good, fun music, the choreography is simple and easily adaptable to high or low impact moves. The intervals alternate between weight training/body sculpting (with options for 30 second high-interval moves) and basic cardio moves for a total body workout, maximizing fat burning and increasing cardiovascular fitness. The class concludes with a mat workout, isolating abs and specific body parts. Gentle stretching completes the total experience.

Combine fun with fitness that is safe, heart-healthy and gentle on the joints!

Our signature group exercise classes are designed specifically for older adults and taught by specially trained, certified instructors.  Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength and improve range of motion and balance, while using light dumbbells, elastic tubing, balls, etc. A chair is used for seated routines and can be used for support during standing exercises. Low Impact.

Pilates Sculpt (All Fitness levels)

Following the Pilates method, learn the basic moves of the mat workout, as well as the correct use of the small apparatuses used in Pilates. A combination of stretching, strength training, and sculpting exercises, with moves to improve balance and posture, results in a total body workout. Specific exercises vary in each class, for motivational purposes.

Barre Fitness (All Fitness Levels)

Barre is a fun and challenging workout that creates long lean muscles, using hand weights, resistance bands, yoga straps, blocks and Pilates balls. While stretching and controlling your breathing you will sculpt and tone your muscles. Barre is safe to practice daily and will help you strengthen and tone your body AND your mind while developing graceful balance and overall vitality. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Focusing on Lower body & Core Barre is a low-impact (yet challenging) class.

Power Yoga  (All Fitness Levels)

Elements of bodyweight, core, Tai Chi, and Pilates. Flow through Sun salutations, standing, and core strengthening exercises – leaving you feeling energized. Can be modified as necessary to fit class needs. â€‹
